Global Jewish communities must stand together to solve the problems of our time, said the Alternate Prime Minister of Israel Benny Gantz during his speech at the Kyiv Jewish Forum 2020.

The politician called on the Jewish communities of different countries to unite efforts to deal with the challenges facing Jews. “This is the time to find our way back to unity. Our ties go deeper than any crisis. And this knowledge of our togetherness can help us through the uncertainty of these times and help us come out stronger than ever. We are one nation,” he stressed.

Gantz said the key threats to Jews are radical political movements, the rise of global anti-Semitism, the Iranian politics, and the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Disagreements can make us forget the true source of our strengths – our unity. When it is most tempting to go back to small tribes, it is most necessary for us to reach out to each other,” the politician noted.

As a reminder, the President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Boris Lozhkin earlier called global anti-Semitism one of the main problems of our time.
