On November 18-19, meetings of the Board and the Executive Committee of the World Jewish Congress took place in Paris. The Ukrainian delegation included the JCU President Borys Lozhkin, the JCU Honorary President Borys Fuksman, the Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich and the JCU Executive Director Inna Ioffe.
The main topic of the meeting was the fight against the growth of anti-Semitic sentiments in the society, as well as preservation of the memory of the Holocaust.
One of the results of the meeting was the launch of the joint educational project of WJC and UNESCO, dedicated to preserve the memory of the Holocaust.
Borys Lozhkin presented a report on the project “The Righteous people of my city”, inviting colleagues from other countries to take over the experience of the JCU in honoring the memory of the Righteous Among the Nations.
