Shortly before the Holocaust Remembrance Day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made yet another scandalous statement. Boris Lozhkin, Vice-President of the European Jewish Congress, President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine, wrote about this on Facebook.
According to him, Lavrov called the actions of the coalition of democratic countries, created to protect Ukraine from the russian aggression, as the desire of the West to “finally solve the Russian question.”
«The analogy is more than unambiguous: during World War II, the Holocaust was Hitler's attempt to “finally solve” the Jewish question», the JCU President recalled.
The President of the European Jewish Congress, Ariel Muzicant, has already demanded a public apology from Lavrov to the people, the “final solution” of the question of which cost six million lives.
“This is a distortion of the Holocaust at the most basic level,” said the head of the EJC.
